5 simple steps for men who want to improve their style game

Want to dress better, but not really sure how? Want to be stylish but still quite casual? Want to just look like an improved version of yourself? This one’s for you. There’s no need to jump on the latest trends or try clothes just because everyone else is wearing them. Keep it simple and follow the following tips…
Stop dressing like a boy – we cannot stress this enough.
This is where a lot of men go wrong. When trying to go for a casual look, some men can tend to go for a ‘young’ look and that is not what you should be going for. You can look casually dressed in a mature way, but that doesn’t mean you will look old. So, no cartoon t-shirts, no ridiculously bright colours and basically avoid the clothes that a teenager is modelling.
You cannot go wrong with a basic t-shirt.
A basic T-shirt can be layered, it will match anything, and it will always look good on any figure. Keep it simple. Go for a T-shirt that is white, navy, grey or black. These colours are neutral and will always match a pair of jeans. A little bit of branding will work, but you do not want anything too graphic and limit your use of ‘funny’ t-shirts with jokes on them.
Jeans – dress for your shape not for the seasons latest trend.

The great thing about jeans is they can be rolled up at the bottom, they can be worn with almost any colour, they can be skinny, slim, bootcut. Very diverse, very easy to wear and always stylish.
Footwear – Keep it simple.
Apparently the first thing people notice about are your shoes, which means they must look good. We get that your dirty, worn trainers can look ‘cool’ or make you seem laid-back, but it’s just not really a good look. Swap them for a new pair of Adidas Gazelle’s if you still want to look effortlessly cool. If you want to look stylish and sophisticated, swap them out for brown leather boots as these will match most things in your wardrobe.
Invest in a jacket.
Nothing finishes off a look better than a great jacket. If you want to go for an edgier look, invest in an oversized denim jacket (please remember to dress for your age before you add this to your basket). For a business-casual look, invest in a blazer. Simple, sleek and finishes off your smart casual look. If you want to look sophisticated and really enhance your outfit, please invest in a woollen jacket, preferably in grey.
