Choosing the right pair of jeans can be quite difficult when all of a sudden there seems to be a million different types. Worry not, here is all you need to know about your next pair of jeans.

THE SKINNY FIT:

Skinny Jeans

The skinny fit jean is the most modern addition to the jeans family. A tighter fit, generally low to mid-rise with a zipper fly. They are skinny from hip to hem. Some people think they look very uncomfortable, however, they are wrong. The right pair of skinny fit jeans can feel like a second skin and are so easy to style.

How to style them:

With black skinny jeans, add a grey t-shirt and black boots. If you’re opting for a lighter colour, pair them with a white tee, roll the bottom up and add white trainers.

THE SLIM FIT:

The slim fit is a great style of jeans as it's not too tight or not too loose. They are a very versatile fit as they can be dressed up for formal events or make a great look for everyday wear also. They are normally mid-rise with a zip fly. Straight through the hip, slim through the thigh with a narrower leg opening.

How to style them:

Go for a relaxed look by adding a hoodie and trainers. Go for the ‘hipster’ look by adding an oversized checked shirt and boots. Choose the casual look by adding a basic t-shirt, knit jumper and chelsea boots.

THE REGULAR FIT:

Every season trends come and go but one thing that has stayed with us, and never attempts to leave us, is the regular fit jean. You know them in and out. The straight leg, the mid-rise, the leg that falls straight from the knee to hem, with a wider leg opening and are straight through the hip and thigh.

How to style them:

These jeans are very versatile and can be styled in many ways, but we prefer them worn casually. Add a pair to your work wardrobe and team them with your jackets, check shirts and boots.

THE RELAXED FIT:

Relaxed fit jeans

The laid-back fit that’s just slightly roomier than the slim fit. Not in the slightest way figure hugging, a loose fit from the waist to the opening. What used to be known as the ‘Dad Jean’ is now being worn by men of all ages who are embracing a laid-back look. The jean looks better and more modern if the leg cuts or is turned up at your ankle.

How to style them:

Making these jeans look great is simple - style with a white t-shirt and your favourite pair of vans or we love them with Adidas Gazelles.

THE LOOSE FIT:

Loose fit jeans

The roomiest of roomy jeans. The baggy fit. These provide plenty of space from the top to bottom of the leg and do not cling to any parts of the leg. They are comfortable, spacious and reliable.

How to style them:

Give them a casual look by adding a navy cotton crew neck t-shirt (top tip: tuck it in). Go smart-casual by adding a crisp shit, a deconstructed blazer and some polished shoes. This is a great look for the business/casual offices where a less-formal look is appreciated.
